Jenn's Story
I was always traveling 100 MPH, I needed a change...
I am a mom to two beautiful girls who bring me so much joy (and keep me super busy). I am remarried to a wonderful man. I’m so blessed to have been able to successfully navigate dating in my 40’s and a second chance at finding my soulmate.
While working countless hours for my career and bearing most of my family’s financial responsibility, I also managed to continue my education. I wasn’t your traditional student. I finished my bachelor’s degree in my 30’s and my MBA in my 40’s. I have also spent the last 25 years working my way up the corporate ladder. From my starting position as a clerk, I’ve earned numerous promotions to my current position of director for a Fortune 500 company.
Take the first step in transforming your life.
A little bit about my journey...
My Dilemma: While trying to juggle it all (my girls’ schedules, quality time with my husband, managing our household, planning our vacations/outings, completing classwork for my degrees), I was losing myself! I was literally living my life like a giant “to-do” list. I was surviving; not thriving. I could feel burnout right around the corner.
"aha moment": Then someone very dear to me passed away from cancer. She was 40-years old, had 2 little boys and within 5 weeks of her diagnosis, she was gone. I was devastated and I literally felt like God put a giant stop sign in my vision. Stop going 100MPH, stop living like a to-do list, stop going through the motions of life. I took inventory of my life and I realized how important it was to enjoy the moment because I was now acutely away of how short life could be.
I needed a change: I started to do the inside work, I began working with a life coach, I became a certified health and certified life coach. I read lots of self-help books and I’m obsessed with living a more on-purpose life. I invest in myself constantly with courses, coaches, and programs. I started making memories with my family. I started setting boundaries with my priorities. I started to enjoy my life so much more.
Was that change easy? NO! Some changes were easier than others but all of the change, easy or hard, was worth it. You can’t rewire 40+ year of habits overnight. I am in a work in progress. I just say that I’m much better at catching myself starting to go 100MPH or sweating the small stuff and am able to pivot.
Does this sound like you? I’m evidence that change is possible! I have a toolbox full of ways to get back to present and I want to share that toolbox with you!
